Loose in Heidelberg...

The kids had a play date today so I hit the streets of the Altstadt and took some shots of stuff a little off the beaten path. Figured I owed it to faithful readers of this blog after the New Year's Eve pictures. The colors on the cross came out by themselves thanks to HDR. The statues are near the entrance of the university library.
By the way, I found out when I ordered a Hefeweizen today that Vetter will be closed for 3 weeks for remodeling. They had no Hefe so I tried all of their other beers. The Vetter 33 is strong and, if you're not careful, can cause cavities (unbelievably sweet). I'll stick to their light Hefe once they reopen.
