Bananas on the brain…

Those who read in this blog about our trip last year know that I love the mind-blowing selection of fruit in Brazil. After the fish market on Wednesday, we went to Horti Fruit, a fruit lovers paradise. I’ll let the pictures do most of the rest of the talking.

Have you ever wondered where cashews come from? Probably not, but the answer is that they grow on the bottom of cashew apples (caju in Portuguese).IMG_5621 (683x1024)They have a fleshy covering and are poisonous until they are roasted.Copy of IMG_5621 (895x597)
