Self regulating clock?

I’m not sure if my body is preparing me for our return to Germany, but I woke up at 4:45 this morning full of energy. I contained my enthusiasm until around 6:00, at which time I headed to the beach to to watch the sun rise.IMG_2840 (2) (1024x683) IMG_2844 (1024x683) IMG_2856 (1024x683)IMG_2899 (1024x683) The sunrise was beautiful, but not exactly awe-inspiring in a photographic sense. The sky was fairly clear to the East, which makes for pretty boring pictures. I like the laser beam effect of the last shot.

A lady down the beach doing her morning yoga somehow captured the serenity of the moment.cf fogete view_2950 Panorama (1024x386)IMG_2854 (2) (1024x640)IMG_2854 (3) (1024x684) It was ironic that the really cool shot was behind me the whole time. One of the houses on the beach has a reflective coating on its windows, which was capturing the colors of the morning sun beautifully. The effect was a bit surreal. You can almost see the bottom half of the sun in the reflection.IMG_2900 (1024x683)IMG_2906 (2) (1024x686) I took some HDR shots (below) to exaggerate the effect a little. I really like them, even if they’re a bit over the top (the first one is also a vertical panorama).beach house_2901 Panorama (1024x987)beach house_2901 (2) (1024x683)beach house_2957 (660x1024) I then took a few shots of the lagoon before heading to the bakery and then home. You can see a bit of my father-in-law’s house – it’s the yellow one near the center with brown shutters. The Atlantic Ocean was directly behind me.IMG_2977 (1024x668) (2)lagoa cf_2978 Panorama (1024x289)This small area is now a protected park, so the view should be preserved for a long, long time.
