Music to my (deranged?) ears…

I realize it’s at least a bit deranged, but I love the sound of traffic in Rio. When I lived there (and was still single), I would sleep with my windows open (on the 14th floor) so I could wake up with the city. Around 3 in the morning it would be quiet enough to hear the surf hitting the beach in Leblon. At around 5:30, I would start hearing the hissing of air brakes on the multitude of buses carrying people to work or back home after a hard night on the town. Here’s a brief music video for other deranged Rio traffic lovers like me.

Did you notice the speed at which buses negotiate the turn? I have honestly never seen anyone more aggressive behind the wheel than bus drivers in Rio.
